Well, there are various reasons.
Firstly, a distillery tour where one of your party has to be the designated driver is never as much fun. Somebody has to bottle up the driver’s drams for themselves, and doesn’t benefit from the experience. I only book premium, tasting tours. Because I drive you, we can fit more into a shorter period of time, maximising the number of distilleries you can visit within your chosen timeframe and minimising the number of nights required in hotels.
Secondly, piecing together an itinerary to best utilise your time is not straightforward. The premium tours that I book for you are run on an occasional basis, and it is not easy to plan itineraries around them. I am able to book times outside those advertised by the distilleries, and in some cases am able to organise special experiences that are not available to the general public.
Thirdly, having me take all the pressure of you, leaves you to just concentrate on having a great time, and not worrying about marshalling your fellow travellers. I know all the timings, how long it takes to travel between distilleries, the routes, the ferries. I know what exclusives are available where.
