Islay Whisky Tours
An intensive Islay experience, getting around all the distilleries, with premium experiences at each, needs a minimum of five full days, four nights on the island. Obviously allowing more time broadens options and experiences.
Arran & Campbeltown Whisky Tours
Arran, Campbeltown & Islay Whisky Tours
Combining Arran, Campbeltown and Islay makes for a fantastic and varied trip. To visit and enjoy a premium tour at every distillery will take eight days, seven nights. But everything can be adapted to fit your specific timeframe.
Total West Coast Whisky Immersion
This tour will take you from Arran to Campbeltown, Islay, Oban, Tobermory, Nc’Nean, Ardnamurchan, Torabhaig, Talisker and Raasay. Depending on the amount of time required on Islay, this experience would ideally need two weeks.
Personal & Specific Whisky Tours
All distilleries we visit provide a mix of tours. I work with the distilleries to book the most personal and specific tours, so that you feel you really get to know the inner workings of each. It is assumed that Westie Whisky travelers want to experience the more select, special offerings from distilleries, particularly tastings involving exclusive drams. Shopping opportunities are ample – every distillery has a shop, and most offer Distillery Exclusive bottles that can only be purchased at the distillery.
Scottish West Coast ferries & Weather...
Scottish West Coast ferries and weather can occasionally cause unavoidable disruption to plans. In the unlikely case of being unable to get out to Islay and/or Mull, I will substitute exciting mainland distilleries to keep us occupied until we can resume our original itinerary. Of course, this is a worst case scenario – we’re all wanting to keep it West Coast wherever possible!
